Enjoy Live Music in the beautiful open air of Miami Beach Botanical Garden!

To celebrate Haitian Heritage Month, the garden will be filled with Haitian bolero and konpa from Arozé Twoubadou. Led by singer and guitarist Jean Levelt, the group interprets the French Caribbean nation's folk-music traditions with an irresistibly personable warmth. In creole, arosé means to water, and Arozé waters the hearts and souls of the audience with a refreshing style of music, a mixture of joyous folk and rhythmic konpa.Twoubadou comes from the wordtroubadour, and the style developed in the early 20th century with Haitian migrant workers traveling between Haiti and Cuba to cut sugar cane. Like the troubadours of old, the Haitian twoubadou plays guitar and sings about the bitterness and humor of love, often using risqué or suggestive lyrics.

DJ Kumi, co-host of the popular radio show Brainville on 88.9FM WDNA, will spin a special Haiti inspired set. For the past two decades James Kumi Alvarez has earned a reputation for being one of Miamis most eclectic turn table masters, having collaborated with Maseo from De La Soul, J-Rocc, Quantic, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Kid Capri and Quest Love.

Doors open at 6pm and music starts at 7pm. Mask and social distancing required. No outside food and beverage please. Bring a blanket. Limited tickets, get yours now! Members of the garden receive a discount, please call 305-673-PALM for promo code.
