German Artist, Dennis Rudolph and Future Technologies Producer Botao Hu, will have an hour long presentation/discussion about their current Holokit collaboration. This conversation will also address the current convergence of Art, Cinema and Future Technologies in present day Germany, and Germany's relationship with Californian culture (Hollywood/Silicon Valley). The discussion is free and open to the public thanks to the generous support of the German Consulate General, Los Angeles.

Panelists:

Dennis Rudolph Dennis Rudolph is a multimedia artist working primarily in painting and Virtual/Augmented Reality. His artistic practice derives its momentum from a melancholic reworking of the heritage of western culture. He studied at the Language and Cultural Institute in Beijing, the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg and the Berlin University of the Arts where he graduated in 2004. Since 2004 his work has been on show in institutions in Europe and the U.S. Rudolph lives and works in Berlin. https://dennisrudolph.com

Botao (Amber) Hu Botao Hu is the founder of Amber Garage, a Silicon Valley based creative art & tech studio. He is future reality computing creative inventor, new media art producer and robotics expert. He specialized in robotics algorithm (localization and mapping), augmented reality, real-time computer graphics and robotic cinematography. He received a M.S. degree in computer science from Stanford University and B.S. degree in CS from Tsinghua University. Before founding Amber Garage, he worked at Google, Microsoft, HKUST, Pinterest, Twitter and DJI.
