El DeBarge is an R&B singer/songwriter from Grand Rapids, Michigan who is best known for his 1980s hit singles "Who's Johnny" and "Love Always." After releasing his eponymous debut album in 1986, he earned a mainstream audience with his soul and pop-infused sound. Though his notoriety faded into the 1990s, he released his fifth studio album, Second Chance, in 2010, making an unexpected comeback on the contemporary R&B charts.
