As Longmont extended South of the river and the railroad, neighborhoods and parks were developed, followed by City amenities ( this isn't really the case - parks mostly followed the other city development), and included pools, the Museum, tennis courts and public art. Greenways continued to be part of the planning process and were integrated in plans to connect residents to parks, schools and more. This out and back ride will be 100% on greenways & off-road bike paths. Parks visited: Quail Campus, Sandstone Ranch, Kanemoto, and Lefthand Creek. Any change due to inclement weather will be announced no less than one hour before start time; ride will take place the next day - same time and location.
All tours guided by former City of Longmont Parks Project Manager and author Paula Fitzgerald and Traffic Safety Coordinator and former Art in Public Places Administrator lauren greenfield.
