Hailing from Orlando, Florida Scott Alan Stapp is a singer/songwriter and musician who is widely-known as the lead vocalist and songwriter of the rock band Creed. After forming his long-time band in 1993 and rising to commercial success with records such as 2001's Weathered, and critically lauded tracks like "With Arms Wide Open," he put the band on hold to turn his focus on his own solo material. Stapp dropped his debut album, The Great Divide, in 2005, with his own heavy-metal inspired hard rock sound. Often referred to as one of the greatest heavy metal vocalists, he continues to operate as front-man of Creed while also releasing solo material, such as his 2013 LP, Proof of Life.
