Global Fashion Exchange + Swap Rebellion + Pause Fashion Hub Present

Our #SwapSeptember event closes out the Pause Fashion Hub POP-UP with an exciting swap event in the heart of London at the beautiful Freemasons' Hall.

September 22 - 3pm - 6pm (swap drop off between 3-4pm)

Help be a part of the solution and say NO to fast fashion!

Special thanks to generous support from @lovenotlandfill

STEP ONE: Check in with Swap Rebellion team at any time between 3-4pm. We encourage you to bring as many items as you like, and garments and accessories are quality screened to ensure a quality experience. Each item that that passes screening, you will receive a token/ticket in exchange. If your items are not suitable for swapping you can either take them back or leave with us to recycle. The tickets/tokens are your currency for the swap as the swap is 1-to-1, you will use these to check out after you have made your selections.

We will be running a special *Speed Swap* for people to hold onto and decide to swap their favourite garments with someone else's favourite garment at 5pm.

STEP 2: After check in, the team takes your garments and sets up the swap area whilst you can browse Pause Fashion Hub. When the swap area is ready there will be a brief introduction to the swap and the rules of engagement to remind people of our policies.

STEP 3: Start your engines, swappers enter the shop from 4pm and may begin perusing. While swapping, we limit the number of items you can hold at one to avoid any unnecessary hoarding! If you have three items, try them on, and if you want to keep an item take it off the hanger and carry it that way to signal that you'll be keeping the item.

Once you have completed your selection, you can hang out in the swap area as they tend to be really fun or check out by taking your new items back to the entrance a and show your tickets/tokens to the staff to claim your new clothes!

Swapping works best when there is a high standard of quality ensuring everyone takes home something they're happy with. With this in mind, we have some quality control standards in place for all our events.*

Items should be clean, folded or pressed

Items should be of good quality with a long potential lifespan

Items should be likely to be valued by others ask yourself, would I be happy to give this item to a friend?

Items should be free of faults or with minor faults that are easy to repair (for example, a missing button).

The best items to swap are good quality garments that you once loved but are no longer your favorites or perhaps no longer fit you perfectly. This way, youre giving them a second life with someone new who will treasure them. Whatever you swap, please make sure to are emotionally detached from the item, as once it has been swapped you cannot change your mind, and any items left over (events only) go to charity.

*Note: At our events we have quality screening processes and do not accept anything pilled, pongy or too far from perfect. We do not exchange undergarments, swimwear or tracksuits. If you would like to bring garments or textiles not suitable for swapping, we will facilitate recycling for you.

The event will be taking place during the PAUSE Conscious Pop-Up #9 at the Freemasons Hall, Covent Garden, in London, England, between September 13 to 22, 2019.

It is a ten-day pop-up event, conveniently taking place during London Fashion Week, where sustainable fashion, art, music, and live performances meet in one place, to create awareness, educate the consumer, and provide an open forum of discussion on how we can all take sustainability forward within our lives. PAUSE Fashion Hub will invite the most influencing sector of the London and the global fashion world to rethink their production and consumption choices in order to create together a more conscious fashion industry.

This event is to help bring this important issue to light.
