Italian progressive rock/metal band Kingcrow began in 1996 under the name Earth Shaker with the primary purpose of covering the music of Guns n Roses, Black Sabbath and other similar hard rock outfits. Due to its middling success as a cover band, the group changed its name to Kingcrow, effectively beginning an evolution in not only its choice of influences but also in the development of its sound. After making some changes to its line-up and style in the early 2000s, Kingcrow finally found its place in world of prog and has experienced a steady stream of success ever since.
