We will take you on a journey through the beautiful woodland of Newlands Corner, part of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Forest Bathing+ is based on the Japanese art of Shinrin Yoku and involves a slow exploration of nature through your senses.
This session will be calming and relaxing and FB+ has scientifically proven beneficial therapeutic effects. You can learn more about the practice on our website www.tfb.institute.
Our Forest Bathing+ route at Newlands Corner takes us through mixed woodland including oak, yew and birch. We may also visit a grove of ancient yews, on the northern wooded slope, whose girth suggests ages of between 500 to more than 1000 years old. Your guide will share many interesting facts, for example, how trees communicate and the role they can play in our strengthening our immune system.
This session is being offered free of charge as it is being run by one of our guides in training.
Due to Social distancing and additional Health and Safety considerations you will be required to complete and return the registration form in advance, so look out for the welcome email from your guide a few days before the event.
PLEASE NOTE DUE TO COVID SAFETY MEASURES FAILURE TO COMPLETE / RETURN ALL FORMS AND COMPLY WITH SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS MAY AFFECT OUR ABILITY TO ALLOW YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT.
