Primarily the musical vehicle for lead singer/songwriter Kurt Wagner, the Nashville based band Lambchop has had an extremely eclectic career. Formed in 1986, but not really breaking out till the 90s, Lambchop has managed to constantly evolve its sound and the music the group creates can fall between the alternative country, lounge, Americana, post rock and soul genres. While the band has never really received the commercial attention it truly deserves, it has undoubtedly influenced countless successful musicians who have risen in the wake of Lambchop.
