Electronic music act Crazy Penis, often referred to as simply Crazy P, was formed in 1995 while founders Chris Todd and Jim Baron attended Nottingham University. Todd and Baron added bassist Tim Davis, percussionist Mav Kendricks and vocalist Dannielle Moore to their band and decided on the name Crazy Penis. The band's blend of soul, disco and house music caught the attention of Manchester-based label Paper Recordings, which released Crazy P's debut album, Digging Deeper, in 1996. By 2008, Moore explained that the band wanted to grow musically and decided to refer to itself solely as Crazy P just before the release of its album Stop Space Return. Crazy P released its sixth studio album, When We On, in 2011.
