Arlo Guthrie is an American musician, who, like his father, Woody Guthrie, typically writes folk tunes and protest songs. Growing up with a dad who was looked up to as a cultural icon by many, Arlo was undoubtedly influenced by the time he spent with his his father and the characteristic style of music he made. Arlo released his debut album, Alice's Restaurant, in 1967 and the album established him as a interesting songwriter who's comfortable writing songs that only feature vocals and an acoustic guitar. The signer/songwriter has since managed to release a steady steady stream of albums, that typically feature lyrics about the plight of the common man, and although Arlo has since aged fairly significantly since his early days, he has still managed to upkeep a respectable touring schedule.
