Making his debut in the 1980s as a salsa artist, Pascal Obispo has since moved beyond salsa and into a variety of genres in French music. His debut album, Le long du fleuve, was released in 1990. Obispo is active in humanitarian work, particularly in the fight against AIDS. In 2009, he took on the nickname “Captain Samouraï Flower” which reflects his appreciation for the mythical world of the 1960s.
