Formed in 1988 in the city of Yorkshire is one of the most celebrated Gothic metal bands, Paradise Lost. It's journey began with the release of its album Lost Paradise. Although the album did not make any waves, it showed the band what needs to be changed in its style of music. Paradise Lost entered itself into a phase of experimentation that lasted for years and it was all worth it. Draconian Times, the band's fifth album became a huge hit and put the band's name into music charts across Europe. It became one of the few bands who spearheaded the gothic metal movement in the country. Even with success of its previous album, Paradise Lost still decided to switch-up its style of music for its next release and the risk paid off. The 1997's album One Second continued their streak of success which began with Draconian Times. Over its multi-decade spanning career, the band released hits like "The Enemy," "Mouth," and "No Hope in Sight."
