What the Constitution Means to Me made its Broadway debut at the Helen Hayes Theater in March 2019. It begins with 15-year-old Heidi debating with the stalwarts of the American constitution over the continued legal suppression of women. The story further unfurls into a commentary of the gender biases prevalent in modern society. The play's comedic handling of such volatile topics with obvious political undertones has made it one of the most thought-provoking plays to have been performed on Broadway. It has been the recipient of prestigious awards like the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award, the Obie Award, the Off-Broadway Alliance Awards and was nominated for the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
