David William Kearney started playing the guitar at a fairly young age. When he was 16 he formed his own band and was garnering a lot of attention for himself with impressive shows around the South - where he's from. After feeling the draw of California, Kearney moved west and with his stage name - Guitar Shorty - he was able to sell tickets to his shows and establish himself as one of the more formidable blues guitarists of his generation.
