Madison Violet, previously known as Madviolet, is a Canadian folk duo from Toronto, comprised of singer/songwriters Brenley MacEachern and Lisa MacIsaac. Inspired as children by the classic folk, country and pop albums in their parents' record collections, MacEachern and MacIsaac joined forces with the intent of re-imagining these vintage styles for the modern music scene. The duo's songs are stripped-down, bittersweet and full of lovely melodies and harmonization, crafted with little more than voice and acoustic guitar. It didn't take long for Madison Violet's music to catch the ears of listeners and critics throughout Canada and beyond. After releasing its debut EP in 2008, MacEachern and MacIsaac found themselves recording with famous UK producer John Reynolds, who is known for his work with U2 and Sinead O'Connor. The duo's sepia-toned modern folk continues to reach new audiences due to a strong commitment to touring.
