Raised in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, siblings Laura and Lydia Rogers formed the acoustic Americana duo now known as The Secret Sisters. The pair creates old-fashioned, rustic songs built around sparse guitar work and simple, beautiful melodies that evoke images of eras long passed. A characteristic prevalent in nearly all of The Secret Sisters' songs is the use of harmonization. The sisters' voices interplay nicely with one another, adding to the quiet charm of their material. In 2010, legendary producer T-Bone Burnett discovered The Secret Sisters, starting his own record label for the sole purpose of releasing its eponymous debut album.
