Since 1991, the annual Juneau Gold Rush Days has been celebrating the city's frontier roots. With rugged activities such as mining, logging, jackleg drilling, panning for gold and axe throwing, the festival puts a spotlight on the industries that underpin the city's economy. Arts & crafts, food vendors and plenty of children's activities round out the two-day event.
