Jordan Davis is a Shreveport, LA-born singer-songwriter born into a family of musicians - his brother, Jacob Davis is also a singer and his uncle Stan Paul Davis wrote the hits "Today's Lonely Fool" and "Better Man, Better Off" for Tracy Lawrence. Davis moved to Nashville after graduating from Louisiana State University in 2012 and signed a record deal with Universal Music Group Nashville four years later. His 2017 debut single, "Singles You Up" peaked at number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in 2018. His second single "Take it from Me", from his 2018 debut album Home State, also topped the Country Airplay chart in 2019. In 2019, he collaborated with singer-songwriter Julia Michaels on the single "Cool Anymore." The music video for "Take it from Me" was nominated in the Breakthrough Video of the Year category at the 2019 CMT Music Awards.
