Steve Arrington is a funk/pop musician from Dayton, Ohio whose history in the music business began with his tenure as a member of the 1970s funk group Slave. Going on to produce several hit singles for the band as its lead vocalist, Arrington branched out on his own in the 1980s, producing his most successful album Dancin' in the Key of Life in 1985. Upon leaving the industry to become a minister in 1990, Arrington managed to keep out of the spotlight until his reemergence as an independent musician in 2009. Since the release of his newest LP Pure Thang, Steve Arrington is not only looking forward to a revival of his own career, but perhaps a revival of the funk genre for a whole new generation of listeners.
