Chicago singer-songwriter Crystal Bowersox is a pop country and blues singer. Bowersox is clearly inspired by a collection of folk and country singers who have made commercial successes of their mildly political, socially aware music. Bowersox is signed to major label Sony Music Records, and her debut album Farmer's Daughter was released in 2010.
