Formed in Santa Barbara, California, Lagwagon is a punk rock/skate punk band that fed off the growing interest in punk rock and skateboarding in Southern California during the 1990s. The band recorded its album Duh, in four days before relasing the debut in 1992. After releasing its sophomore effort Trashed in 1994 while several punk bands were entering the mainstream, Lagwagon opted to stay with its independent label Fat Wreck Chords, turning down a number of major label deals. Following a short hiatus that lasted from 2000 to 2002, the band released two more albums before front man Joey Cape launched a solo career and Lagwagon was once again put on hold. Despite several line up changes, including the departure of its original bassist Jesse Buglione, Lagwagon has maintained its underground fanbase throughout its career. The band released a box-set of its first five albums and embarked on a world tour in 2011.
