People have been flocking to this sleepy little beach community of Half Moon Bay since the '60s to celebrate all things pumpkin, during this festival. You can sample pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin crepes, pumpkin bread, pumpkin candy, and you get the idea. There are also arts and crafts booths, many with a pumpkin theme, as well as pumpkin carving exhibitions, a haunted house and great live music. Acres of pumpkin patches surround the town, and the town is entirely charming in itself. Admission is free for this annual October tradition. Please note pets are not allowed. Presented by the non-profit Half Moon Bay Beautification Committee.
