Edwin McCain is a pop and rock singer/songwriter from Greenville, South Carolina. Though McCain's been active since the early 1990s, he caught his break in 1998 with the highly popular radio single "I'll Be," which has established itself as a go-to love ballad used in several films and television shows over the years. With a little help from fellow South Carolina band Hootie and the Blowfish, McCain signed with Lava Records in 1994 and began to regularly tour and record his version of acoustic pop with occasional rock tendencies. Fans of earnest, straight-forward singer/songwriter material that's tailor-made for radio airplay and chart success will appreciate McCain's music.
