Between July and October, the riverfront gets busy! In addition to the usual farmers' market goodies (tomatoes, peppers, berries, honey, garlic, herbs, bread, onions, cheese, peaches, cucumbers, collard greens, handmade soap, baked goods, salad greens and maple syrup), this party is home to the El Gran Mercado, a special section of the market devoted to hand-made jewelry, prepared gourmet Colombian food, and live music (beginning at 5p). The fresh produce is largely organic and pesticide free, and everything is Connecticut grown. See website for poster art, vendor list, and other farmers' market locations. This event takes place at Quinnipiac River Park.
