Born and raised in the cultural melting pot of Miami, Armando Christian Perez, now known simply as Pitbull, is a pop artist and rapper whose cross-cultural approach has won him scores of fans on dance floors across the globe. Perez combines hip-hop styles such as Latin-rap and crunk and then wraps the whole thing up in a danceable Reggaeton package. His star has risen quickly after the 2004 release of his debut album, and he has since worked with some of the biggest names in the pop and rap worlds, including Pharrell Williams, Lil Jon and the Ying Yang Twins.
