Dublin's Fringe provides an exciting alternative to the official Theatre Festival's more mainstream productions. Boasting a wide and varied program of nearly 500 performances in over 40 venues across the city, the festival takes place annually in early autumn. Fringe has hosted new plays by established Irish theater companies such as Blue Raincoat, Meridian and Bedrock, in addition to international acts. Hours vary by event.
