Sam Amidon is a folk musician from Brattleboro, Vermont who is continuing a family legacy of folk music that began with his parents, also prominent folk musicians in Vermont. However, Amidon's burgeoning influence upon the folk music scene is extending far beyond the Green Mountain State, with many of his contemporaries and critics praising his music as being a near-perfect amalgamation of the urban and the rural.. Despite releasing several albums since his recording debut in 2001, Sam Amidon's 2008 album of re-arranged traditional folk songs, All is Well, has many proclaiming the young musician's contributions to the genre as revelatory to say the least.
