Kenny G is the stage name for Kenneth Bruce Gorelick, a smooth jazz saxophonist from Seattle, Washington and is considered to be the most commercially successful instrumental artist of the modern era. Since he branched out as a solo artist in the early 1980s, Kenny G's fourth album of instrumental smooth jazz, Duotones, proved to not only be his breakout success, but still stands as one of the bestselling albums of its kind in history. The album made the saxophonist a household name, and face, and although Kenny G's influence in the music industry has since waned, he continues to perform and record albums for an extensive network of fans that continues to grow nearly three decades after his rise to international stardom.
