American rock band Oso Oso was originally named osoosooso and started as a solo project of the singer Jade Lilitri. He released his eponymous EP in 2014 via Soft Speak Records before deciding to shorten the name and expand the project. The EP was followed by the first full-length album Real Stories of True People Who Kind of Looked Like Monsters, issued in 2015. Wanting to tour extensively, Lilitri decided to enlist the help of other musicians. Thus Oso Oso grew into a full-fledged band. Soon after, the band set about recording its second album The Yunahon Mixtape, which was released in 2017. 2018 saw the Oso Oso sign with Triple Crown Records through which it released Basking in the Glow in 2019.
