Mikal Cronin established himself with Moonhearts, a Southern California-based garage rock band, before relocating to San Francisco to become part of the city's celebrated lo-fi indie rock scene. Alongside local favorite Ty Segall, he began to showcase a solo catalog full of sunny, retro-tinged pop songs awash in distorted guitars and hazy production. His self-titled 2011 debut was met with mostly overwhelmingly positive reception and led to performances across the US. In addition to maintaining his now burgeoning solo career, Cronin still finds time to tour and collaborate with both Moonhearts and Segall.
