Niall Horan is a singer/songwriter and guitarist from Mullingar, Ireland who might best be known as a member of the popular boy band One Direction. After achieving worldwide success with One Direction, Horan would go on to release his debut solo album, Flicker, in 2017.

Funk-metal band Living Colour formed in New York in 1984. As a member of the Rock Coalition Movement, the four piece sang highly political lyrics against American racism and Eurocentrism. While best known for its hard rock song "Cult of Personality" that garnered the group a Grammy, the band also incorporates a wide variety of musical styles into its music, including jazz, thrash, jive and electro. The group disbanded in 1995, but reformed in 2000, with a slightly altered lineup, and continues to tour today.

Fernando Daniel Morillo Rivas, who goes by the stage name Micro TDH, is a rapper from Caracas, Venezuela. Rap took hold of Micro TDH at a very early age. He was an eleven-year-old boy who could freestyle and make rhymes on the fly. As an up-and-coming rapper, he got the attention of many established artists like NK Profeta, who later collaborated with him on the song "Una Bomba." It was one of the tracks on TDH's debut album, Sin Coro. He tends to experiment with different sub-genres of hip-hop. A notable example would be the "Mi Muñeca," which was the first trap song from this artist.

Luis Fonsi is a singer/songwriter who has become one of the more recognizable figures on the Latin music scene since releasing his debut album, Comenzaré, in 1998. Originally born in Puerto Rico, Fonsi eventually moved to Orlando, FL and developed a strong interest in various Latin styles of music like salsa, calypso and samba. After studying music at Florida State University, where he joined the school's choir, Fonsi would go on to sing with the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra before distinguishing himself as a solo musician.

Ellen Allien, born Ellen Fraatz in 1969, is a German electronic musician, music producer and founder of BPitch Control music label. After she made her first experience with electronic music in 1988 when spending time in London, she started to work as a DJ in famous Berlin clubs like Bunker, Tresor or E-Werk. She also started to produce music on her own and in 2001 her first album Stadtkind (or City Child) was released. The record is dedicated to the reunified city of Berlin, lifestyle and culture of which Fraatz named as the main influence for all her work. So far Ellen Allien has released 7 albums on her own label BPitch Control, that had a big influence on the techno scene world wide.

Aurora is a Norwegian singer/songwriter who blends together elements of pop and electronica to create a unique and distinctive style of music. Releasing her debut EP, Running with the Wolves, in 2015, Aurora has since grown into a recognizable force on the modern Scandinavian music scene.

Iron Maiden helped pioneer the new wave of heavy metal sound that rose to prominence in the mid to late 1970s. The group is a classic metal act with galloping power chords, harrowing vocals, chugging rhythms and a theatrical live show. Though the English act has been pegged as satanic by many conservative Christian groups, this backlash only seems to heighten the appeal of Iron Maiden and add to the reputation of the band as one of the more nefarious acts of its day.

The Plot In You is an Ohio-based side-project of Landon Tewers that turned into a full-fledged metalcore group in 2010. Initially called Vessels, the name was changed to The Plot In You post the success of their first EP "Wife Beater." They went on to sign a deal with "Rise Records under which they released their first album, First Born. Since then, they have been in the limelight for their heavy music and melodic vocals.

Lenny Kravitz is an American musician and singer who is known for his signature funk rock sound and rock star look. Kravitz's command of multiple instruments has aided him in his career since 1988, allowing him to evolve and continue to appeal to new generations of fans (as proven by his multiple hits and awards). He has also made several notable appearances on TV and in film.

Formed by longtime friends Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, Twenty One Pilots is an alternative pop duo from Ohio that collected a tight-knit following across the Midwest with its constant touring schedule and active social media presence. After releasing a self-titled album in 2010 followed by 2011's Regional at Best, the band signed to Atlantic Records' subsidiary, Fueled by Ramen. Twenty One Pilots' first release with the label was the Three Songs EP, which was released in 2012. With the aid of Adele producer Greg Wells, the band released its third LP Vessel, in 2013, and subsequently kicked off an international tour.

During the late 1970s, England's music scene was cranking out innovative bands that weren't afraid to experiment with what they thought the public would be ready to listen to.
