A far cry from many of the more commercial events, this street party is characterized by its low-key atmosphere. Many of the shops, bars and restaurants along Berger Straße set up outdoor stalls heaving with food and drink, crank up the music, and get partying. Home-made cake and coffee is the afternoon favorite, while cocktails and beer become the popular choice in the evening. There is one main stage (as well as several smaller stages) featuring live bands. The festival is popular with locals young and old.
