The district of Höchst has hosted the famous Schlossfest ('Castle Festival') since 1957. The festival is an extravaganza of music, theater, comedy, art, and sport, with the highlights being the street parade, the old town festival (Altstadtfest) and the riverside celebrations (Kirmes am Mainufer).

Frankfurt's most spectacular festival of art and culture attracts over a million visitors every year to the banks of the River Main. Bands, choirs, DJs, cabaret, comedy and dance acts take to the stage morning, afternoon and night, and there is also a huge selection of food and drink.
