Michèle Torr is somewhat of a national treasure in her home country of France. Her career began when she wowed the crowds at a singing competition at age 15, quickly thereafter winning her first record contract. What then commenced was a career over 40 years long as one of the most esteemed French pop vocalists of her time. Throughout the 1960s, Torr appeared on Eurovision Song contests and went on to record a barrage of hits, including "Emmène-moi danser ce soir" and "Disco Motion." She has also forayed into writing with the publication of several books. Torr continues to perform and tour passionately, solidifying her stature as an iconoclastic performer.
