Based on the 1976 Academy award-winning film of the same name, Network is a play written by Lee Hall. The play follows an interactive concept where the audience is encouraged to participate. It features an onstage restaurant which is titled Foodwork, which features a three-course meal to the spectators as they watch the play. It also features a live onstage television studio. This unique set and lighting were designed by Jan Versweyveld. The story follows news anchor Howard Beale as his emotional outburst on live television turns out to be a popular sensation among the viewers. Chaos entails as producer Diana Christensen incorporates this as a marketing strategy which gets taken too far.
