Developed around Alanis Morissette's 1995 album of the same name, the plot of Jagged Little Pill follows the seemingly perfect Healy family. The story comprises an obsessive mother, a distant father, a confused daughter and a teenage son. With incredibly overwhelming emotions aptly covered by Morissette's songs, the musical analyses and tackles multiple social issues like addiction, assault and gender identity. This rock musical premiered at the American Repertory Theater in 2018 and was well received.
