Arizona-based band Sacred Reich is a trash metal outfit that emerged in 1985. With front man and primary songwriter Phil Rind at the helm, the band introduced itself with a politically-charged speed metal style on its debut album Ignorance, which was released in 1987. After honing in on its own thrash sound, the band went on to become regional metal icons with records like 1993's Independent and 1996's Heal. Despite disbanding in 2000, the group surprised fans with a summer tour in Europe in 2007.
