In honor of a woman who is believed to be a protector of the Mexican nation the festivities begin with many craft vendors taking to the streets. Around 2p a parade of school children followed by mothers with families and puppeteers will begin to wind its way through the downtown streets. The bullfights begin at 4p at the Toros Stadium one kilometer south of the city. A small no-pre-registration-required fishing tournament run by the city begins at 8a from the marina.
