terrace cred. presents:
Andy White, 21st Century Troubadour is back. This is, what, the fourth revised date we've fixed? That little global hiccup scuppered plans for too, too long. But Andy is has re-emerged from lockdown to pick up where he left off, doing what he loves doing.
Andy White is a Belfast singer-songwriter whose first EP 'Religious Persuasion' (released on Stiff Records) and 1986 debut album 'Rave on Andy White' kick-started a career which includes twenty albums (and box set), two books of poetry and a novel.
Andy formed supergroup ALT with Tim Finn and Liam O Maonlai, which released two albums.
This partnership was reignited during lockdown, so, stay poised for some very exciting news soon.
He's written with Peter Gabriel and formed a close association with and compere of WOMAD, toured the world many times over, solo, or with assorted combos, with his acoustic and electric guitars and won Ireland?s top music awards.
Andy has lived in Belfast, Dublin, Switzerland and is, currently, still in Melbourne.
An essential visit to the South Coast to play a longtime favourite venue, The Greys is, again, on his tour itinerary.
Andy White is one of our very firm favourites, too, and it'll be so, so very good to see this 21st Century Troubadour here in Brighton once again (and, no doubt, he'll be rifling through my record collection once more).
