What happens if the program is canceled due to COVID?
In the event that Wild Adventure Programs are canceled due to COVID, all registrations will be refunded.
COVID Notice: Our Wild Adventure Program strives to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff, and we will be following federal, state, and local guidelines regarding social distancing and cleanliness. We have the advantage in that the vast majority of our time is spent outdoors, and the grounds of Southwick's Zoo offer us the chance to travel together while maintaining social distance. Camp areas are cleaned and disinfected regularly, and we always require our students to wash their hands with soap and water frequently throughout the day including before meals.
Please note that all children will be required to wear a mask during Spring and Summer Wild Adventure Programs.
This program is ideal for older kids interested in learning about careers in biology, zoology, or similar fields.
Program highlights: Learning about the zoo's 150+ different species, creating animal enrichment with help from the keepers, meeting some animals up close and personal, giraffe encounter, rhino encounter, watching keepers feed the hyenas and alligator, tie-dying a t-shirt to bring home, and more!
