Funhouse Comedy is back at the Abbey Theatre, Nuneaton on Friday July 19th for another laughter-packed night.
Headlining the night is the diminutive Andy Askins, who has appeared on BBC1’s The John Bishop Show; his air of vulnerability and innocent child-like qualities mislead the crowd heightening the impact of his killer lines. With his guitar and his wickedly dry sense of humour, he captivates everybody with an eclectic mix of offbeat comical songs and parodies. A talented musician with an appealing voice and cheeky magnetism, he never fails to leave his mark.
Support from writer, broadcaster and Scottish Comedian of the Year 2017, the edgy but engaging Leo Kearse. Also known as Pun-Man, he is the 2015 UK Pun Champion and got through to the live auditions on Britain's Got Talent. With his endearing persona he has the ability to make his awkward material amiable and unthreatening.
Also appearing is the charismatic and highly talented Sony Award winner, Tom Wrigglesworth, comedian, Radio and TV presenter and voice-over artist who has had two series’ on BBC Radio 4. An articulate and natural raconteur, he possesses an innate ability to riff with an audience like they’re old friends. His warm and hilarious tales, told with true passion never fail to charm his audiences.
Compere for the night will be Barry Dodds, winner of Best MC, Midlands Comedy Awards for the last 4 years, who captivates everyone with his energy, spirit and tantalizing humour.
