Justus Frantz is a German pianist, conductor and television personality who has been studying his instrument of choice since he was four years old. Shortly after making his debut with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 1970, he made his US debut with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in 1975. This helped Frantz build a name for himself among an international audience with his repertoire of Classical and Romantic pieces. An integral part of the contemporary classical music community, he founded the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival in 1986 as well as the Philharmonia of the Nations in 1995.
