UK duo Raime follows in the footsteps of UK dubstep producer Burial, who pioneered the dark ambient side of the genre, by maintaining a haze of mystery around its name. Like Burial, the producers don't offer up their real names and prefer to keep all information about themselves private, encouraging fans instead to focus on the music, rather than the people behind the music. The music is worth focusing on: a dark, dubby, post-techno with haunting elastic beats and floating disembodied vocals. While Raime only has one mixtape to its name, the duo is quickly becoming a favorite amongst big name DJs and will likely only grow in popularity.
