Based on Victor Hugo’s novel, "Les Misérables" is an award-winning, epic, grand, and uplifting story about social injustice and the struggle for redemption and revolution in 19th century France. A sung-through pop opera, the show will feature a cast of 39 talented young theater artists, mentored by local theater professionals, and accompanied by a full, live orchestra. The heart of the story focuses on Jean Valjean, a prisoner who breaks his parole to start a new life. His impassioned struggle for freedom and redemption and the characters who support and challenge him are at the center of the drama. The show first premiered in London in 1985 and remains the world’s longest running musical.
