Featuring
Matt Owens

British born singer-songwriter and musician Matt Owens first came to prominence as a founder member of indie-folk band Noah and the Whale. Releasing four albums, Noah and the Whale achieved huge success in the UK and overseas, selling over one million albums in the UK alone. The band toured the world between 2006 and 2014, playing hundreds of festivals, including Austin City Limits, Fuji Rocks and Lollapalooza, as well as touring with the likes of Arcade Fire, Bahamas and Laura Marling.

February 2019 saw the release of Matt?s debut solo album, "Whiskey and Orchids" to widespread critical acclaim including a 5-star review in Maverick Magazine. Nigel Stonier produced the album which featured Tom Waits' drummer Michael Blair, Thea Gilmore, and Carleigh Aikins from Bahamas. The album received substantial radio play and that summer he played over 25 festivals as far flung as the West Coast of Ireland and Northern Scotland, including Glastonbury.

2020 saw the release of Matt's 2nd album Scorched Earth, to a fanfare of acclaim from the music press. Many BBC Radio Shows made it their album of the week, Bob Harris included ?Cargo for the Road? on his first ?Best of Under the Apple Tree? compilation and the album went on to feature in many Americana album of the year polls. 2020 also saw Matt co-write including Elles Bailey?s smash hit ?Sunshine City? which was Planet Rock?s Number 1 song for 8 weeks.

This Autumn Matt releases his eagerly anticipated 3rd album, cut with his own 7 piece-live band, The Delusional Vanity Project, at Middle Farm Studios. Produced and featuring Robert Vincent, the band features members of The Leylines, Danny and the Champs, Tree Top Flyers, and Little Mammoths.

The collection of songs is his most accessible and rocking to date and Matt can?t wait to take them out on the road with The D.V.P.

Robert Vincent

Liverpool?s multi-award winning Robert Vincent is one of the most acclaimed voices on the UK Americana scene.

He has toured extensively both as a solo performer, with his band and most recently in 2021 with his band accompanied by a string quartet.

Robert released his debut album ?Life In Easy Steps? in 2013, the title track of which was playlisted on BBC Radio 2.

In 2016 Robert was awarded the inaugural ?Bob Harris Emerging Artist? award at the Americana Music Association UK?s first annual awards ceremony in Hackney, London.

Further award success followed with Robert?s second album ?I?ll Make The Most Of My Sins? receiving the AMA UK?s ?2018 UK Album of The Year? award.

2020 saw the release of Robert?s most recent album ?In This Town You?re Owned? which was recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios and produced by Brit Award winning Ethan Johns. The album received critical acclaim in the UK, Europe and the US.

This album saw Robert voted as both ?UK Artist of The Year 2020? and the album as ?UK Album of The Year 2020? by the readers of Americana UK magazine. Further AMA UK awards also followed with Robert receiving both the ?2021 UK Artist of The Year? award and ?In This Town You?re Owned? awarded ?2021 UK Album of The Year?.

Press Quotes

?Somewhere Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley and Phil Everly are smiling" - Coachella Valley Weekly, Album Review, 2020

"Early promise made good by Liverpool based Americana hopeful" **** - Mojo April 2020

"Winner of the inaugural Americana Music Association UK's Emerging Artist Award in 2016, Vincent's not so much emerging as arriving" - Andy Fyle Mojo Review (April 2020)

"Nobody knows the ending, he sings. But this outstanding album is a very good start on the path to finding the light at the end of the tunnel in which we seem to be lost". - Mike Davies, Folk Radio Album Review

"There?s no reason to waste any time, so let?s get straight to the point. Robert Vincent?s third album ?In This Town You?re Owned? is a corker (for those not familiar with this UK term, that?s a really good thing!)....the quality of the song-writing, the performance and the production never drops beneath a level that can only be described as outstanding". - Jim
Finnie, Americana-UK, Album Review
