Taking cues from My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain and the rest of the 1980s shoegaze scene, Triangulo de Amor Bizarro (Bizarre Love Triangle) has earned a favorable reputation in the Spanish music scene for its distortion-driven indie rock. The four-piece formed in Madrid, where it proceeded to self-record and release its initial demos. Strong attention paid to fuzzed-out guitar tones lends a nice contrast to the band's repertoire of hypnotic grooves and indie pop. As Triangulo de Amor Bizarro continued to build its fan base throughout Spain, it was eventually signed to Mushroom Pillow, a Madrid-based record label that released the band's debut LP in 2006.
