A pair of pieces by Respighi, the Italian composer known for converting bird song into lively melody, form the centerpiece of this Baltimore Symphony Orchestra concert, conducted by Marin Alsop. Along with his famed "Pines of Rome", the BSO is also set to perform the infectious and evocative "Brazilian Impressions". Percussionist Colin Currie will join them at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall with a new concerto by Scottish composer Helen Grime.
