Few musical families are as iconic and storied as The Jacksons. Known throughout its decades-long career under several different incarnations, The Jacksons got its start in the mid-1960s with founding members Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael Jackson operating under the name The Jackson Brothers before eventually, and most famously, taking the name The Jackson 5. During its Motown years from 1968 to 1975, the group rose as one of the most prolific acts in the world with crossover hits such as "ABC" and "I Want You Back" that are now considered Motown classics. As Jermaine and Michael branched out into their own solo careers in the 1970s, The Jacksons took a back seat to the success of its lead singers, particularly Michael who would go on to become one of the most notorious pop artists in history. Despite the turbulent and well-publicized history of the Jackson family, The Jacksons have managed to hold several reunions since its official break up in 1990, including the 2012 Unity Tour put together by Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon, the last living members of the original Jackson 5.
