Accept is a German heavy metal band that consists of Udo Dirkschneider, Wolf Hoffmann, Hermann Frank, Peter Baltes and Stefan Schwarzmann. Formed in 1971, the band draws inspiration from a spectrum of themes including ecology, social problems, and controversial issues. In spite of these heavy topics, Accept manages to keep its music powerful and energetic. The band, which split up for a period during the late 1990s and early 2000s, started collaborating again in 2009. Its last album Sharp Bite was released in 2005.
